La Cotinière

Located close to Saint Pierre d'Oléron, La Cotinière is an unmissable part of your camping holidays. La Cotinière is the most important fishing port in Charente-Maritime, and has kept its authentic heart, becoming a tourist destination loved by campers.

When you’ve been to the beach, come and enjoy walking round the little streets in the village, have yourself to a tasty treat on a terrace looking over the port, stroll along the jetty, and watch the boats come back to the quay. In July and August, you can wander round the night market in the port, and enjoy the really lively atmosphere in La Cotinière before going back to the campsite.

The traditional fishing port of La Cotinière – the most important fishing port in Charente-Maritime – holds a flotilla of particularly photogenic coloured boats. Here they catch high-quality species such as bass, monkfish, red mullet and sole, with fishing techniques that respect quality. The Victorine market in the port and the fisheries of La Cotinière offer you the freshest fish and seafood. To explore the less well-known parts of the port, take a guided visit, which will let you into all the secrets of the fishing port of La Cotinière!
